Tripthrottle: Two Friends From Way Back Join Forces and Fuse Two Distinct Musical Styles

TripThrottle is Shawn Mott and Brian Robinson. A new Electronica group founded and based in Rochester, NY USA. Influences such as P.O.D., Prodigy, & The Crystal Method, are weaved with piano and guitar to create an album that appeals to the core electronic music fan, while inviting many more to the genre. In the brief time since the completion of the TripThrottle debut Altered State, the positioning statement "Electronica for the Masses" has taken hold and seems to be a very appropriate slogan. You ain't gotta be a sci-fi geek, a porno freak, or a tweaker to dig Tripthrottle. Tripthrottle kickstarts the booty shake with that sexed-up sub-low throb that's at the heart of all decent post-disco dance music. The sound on this Rochester duo's brand new disc, "Wild Kingdom," is awash in ambient tones and atmospheric explorations. It's all tremendously tight and innovative. Yet the real detour is the heavy guitar slashing away at the mix, giving it a half-man, half-machine tack. Got a money maker? All attempts to keep it still will be futile, silly human.

P-1's Big Hit, "Digital Lover" Aired on ABC Television's Hit New Show, Samantha Who

Perez Hilton, the wildly popular, occasionally controversial, gossip columnist seen on VH1 and on PerezHilton.com is the guest vocalist on P-1's latest single, "Ladrona," Spanish for the thief. Perez adds a sultry Latin rap that will catch listeners by surprise. This is the follow up to P-1's debut hit single, Digital Lover, which was recently used in the Disney/ABC show, Samantha Who. Another single, Wysteria, was used in the David Duchovny film, Trust The Man. The live dance and jazz collective, known as P-1, creates a delicious blend of Chicago house and New York dance music with an ear to the rhythms of the world. P-1's debut album STEP (NoVo/Lightyear/WEA) was adored by critics and labeled a "breath of fresh air in today's international dance scene". DJs and fans embraced P-1's funky album catapulting their signature hit P-1 GROOVE to number one on commercial radio. STEP charted high on mix show radio stations across the country including Vince Lawrence's remix of VESPA and Giuseppe D.'s remix of ONE TRY. Appearing at national venues and festivals, TV, radio and even a tribute performance to the legendary Vikki Carr at the Latin Impact Awards, hosted by Eva Longoria, P-1 is well on their way to international success. www.myspace.com/p1music

DJ Russ Harris and Jiga from Analog Pussy Team For "Unsealed"

Earlier this year DJ Russ Harris teamed up with Analog Pussy front-woman JIGA to record "Unsealed". The duo just finished up their whirlwind tour of Northern Illinois. Every show they did resulted in offers for at least 2 more. Including 2 sold out shows at red No. 5, a very popular nightclub in Chicago. "We will be bringing Jiga back from Germany as soon as possible to do something a little more coordinated" says EsNtion's Bill McCormick. As for Russ Harris? In 2007, the "Drums in the Club" single appeared on Promo Only, X-Mix & started climbing the Billboard Club/Dance Charts making it to #5 and all the way to #2 on BPM-TV's Hot Hits Chart (Canadian TV). Russ simply hopes that this is just the beginning. www.myspace.com/djrussharris
